Melissa is an attorney admitted to practice in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She has experience in various areas of law, including consumer debt, juvenile dependency, insurance defense, and family law.
During her time as a Certified Legal Intern (CLI), Melissa successfully represented clients with consumer debt issues under the supervision of a licensed attorney. She then worked as an attorney for the Department of Children and Families (DCF), advocating for children in juvenile dependency cases involving allegations of abuse, abandonment, and neglect. In this role, she gained practical courtroom experience through bench trials and evidentiary hearings.
After leaving DCF, Melissa focused on insurance defense, representing insurance companies and their insureds in negligence cases such as car accidents, slip-and-falls, and medical malpractice. Additionally, she has provided support to family law attorneys on cases related to divorce, child support, custody, time-sharing, and paternity matters.
